My Feature photo was taken at Corpus Christi Texas. It is from the balcony of the Omni Hotel Bayfront. It is one of many gorgeous sunrises I have experienced overlooking Corpus Christi Bay while sipping coffee first thing in the morning.
I like to take the comfortable desk chair out on the balcony to sit on. There are 2 Omni's, Bayfront and Marina, the Marinas rooms are a little less but the balcony doors don't open due to A/C problems. If you can get an entertainment book and card you can get these rooms for 1/2 off rack, about 75.00 dollars off season and 125.00 peak (not bad for a 4 star Luxury hotel). Also you can join Select Guest online for free perks such as room upgrades, evening turndown includes cookies and milk, free morning beverage for 2 with choice of newspaper. The view is incredible, make sure you request a room as high as you can get and facing the Lexington for best sunrise views. This spot offers one of the best fireworks shows you will ever see because the fireworks glisten off the water. Shoreline Drive is right out front with plenty to do and see. Great Seafood across the bridge at BlackBeards or the Back Porch. Day trip to Padre Island or Port Aransas, take the back way through aransas pass and take the ferry across to Port Aransas.
