H1N1

It was just reported that 80 million Americans have been infected and 16,000 have died from the Swine Flu. These numbers are scary, when there was just a couple of cases in Cibolo Texas everybody was freaking out. Should we be worried?

  1. I wouldn't be worried. I'm not worried. The numbers seem big and scary because they are big. But of 80million who got it, 16,000 died: that's 1 in 5000, or 2/100th of a percent. That's good odds. So if EVERYONE here in Seguin got it (about 35,000 of us) 2 might be killed. As you know, more people in Seguin have been killed in car accidents in the last month, sadly.

That's my perspective for what it's worth.
